Den nya SC15 Prisma MK2 förbättrar alla prestandaparametrar av originalet och är en fullfjädrad nätverksspelare och DAC med förförstärkningsfunktioner, automatisk och manuell högtalar-EQ och WiSA högupplöst trådlös högtalaranslutningsteknik, avancerad digital till analog konvertering, och använder Prisma-paketet med kontroll- och anslutningsteknik.
Teknologi
SC15 Prisma MK2 fortsätter en Primare-tradition av att leverera häpnadsväckande prestanda från kompakta och eleganta enheter för enkel installation i praktiskt taget alla miljöer, och med det trekvartsstora chassit öppnar sig ännu större möjligheter för att ge musik av högsta kvalitet och tillgång till alla rum i huset.
SC15 Prisma MK2 är en fullfjädrad nätverksspelare och digital-till-analog-omvandlare, som ger digital till analog konvertering med upp till PCM 384kHz och DSD 256-kapacitet, såväl som komplett digital mediaåtkomst och systemhantering med hjälp av Prisma-anslutnings- och kontrollteknik .
Med valbar fast eller variabel utgång kan SC15 Prisma MK2 fungera som en avancerad nätverksspelare för alla system i fast läge, eller kopplas direkt till ett par strömförsedda högtalare för ett kompakt högpresterande stereosystem i variabelt läge.
SC15 Prisma inkluderar också WiSA högupplöst trådlös högtalaranslutning med WiSA-aktiverade högpresterande högtalare och subwoofers, vilket erbjuder ett extra utgångsalternativ för denna mest mångsidiga artist.
Med WiSA-högtalaranslutning kan dessutom den analoga utgången konfigureras för trådbunden subwooferutgång.
Prisma – Nätverks- och multirumsteknik
Prisma är ett paket med teknologier som ger det bredaste utbudet av nätverksmusikspelares funktioner och funktionalitet. I huvudsak skapad för att vara en streamer som skulle tillåta alla, och överallt, i hushållet att utforska, upptäcka och dela den djupt tillfredsställande upplevelsen av högpresterande musikuppspelning – Prisma tillhandahåller anslutning i flera rum/flerzoner och kontroll av lagrade och strömmande media, oavsett om det är trådbundet eller trådlöst, allt hanteras från mobila enheter via den dedikerade Prisma-systemkontrollappen.
Förutom AirPlay 2, Bluetooth®, Roon Ready* och Spotify Connect® har Prisma Chromecast inbyggd, en unik streamingportal som möjliggör enkel direktanslutning till hundratals streamingapplikationer och tjänster, inklusive röststyrning, för bästa möjliga prestanda och användarupplevelse.

Nytt för SC15 Prisma MK2 är automatisk rums- och manuell EQ-funktion som använder ett program inbyggt i Prisma-applikationen. EQ-funktionen kan användas med alla iOS-mobilenheter, medan Android-enheter kräver användning av Zen-mikrofonen (för närvarande i restorder till mars 2024).
Room EQ automatisk optimeringsmetod är enkel att använda. Under mätsekvensen kommer högtalarna att spela upp rosa brus i 60 sekunder medan iOS-enheten eller Zen-mikrofonen flyttas runt i rummet i stora cirkulära rörelser. EQ-funktionen samplar alla positioner i rummet för att identifiera varje rumsläge.
När mätsekvensen är klar kommer högtalarkompensationen att beräknas automatiskt och ett basfilter kommer att appliceras på systemet för att motverka gränseffekter och kompensera för störningar som orsakas av rummet.
När rummet har mätts och systemet kalibrerats med den automatiska Room EQ, är det möjligt att manuellt justera högtalarnas respons för att möta personliga preferenser.
Utseendet och känslan av Skandinavien
Vi tror att varje aspekt av våra produkter – hur de ser ut, den tillfredsställande känslan av kontrollerna – bidrar till den övergripande upplevelsen av att leva med Primare. Som ett resultat utstrålar Primares produkter skandinavisk designs kännetecken – enkel, elegant design, med lättillgänglig och lättförståelig funktionalitet.
Ett exempel på detta är de kompakta, i huvudsak tre fjärdedelar av 15-serien, skåp som skapar känslan av perfekta proportioner som är precis rätt för att tillåta placering i vilken boendemiljö som helst – eller som vi säger lagom, inte för mycket inte för lite, allt i balans, proportion och harmoni.
Systembyggande
Med 15-serien erbjuder vi ett noggrant övervägt utbud av modeller för att möjliggöra det bästa urvalet för att passa alla dina systembehov. Till exempel kan det ultimata systemet i 15-serien vara DD15 CD-transport, SC15 MK2 Prisma förförstärkare och nätverksspelare, I15 analog integrerad förstärkare och R15 MM/MC phono förförstärkare, vilket möjliggör bästa prestanda, analog eller digital, med det största antalet av anslutningsalternativ. Det kan dock inte finnas något behov av ytterligare digitala ingångar, MC phono-förförstärkning kanske inte är ett krav, eller helt enkelt för att ta hänsyn till budget eller storlek, ett system som består av CD15 Prisma CD och nätverksspelare med en I15 MM integrerad förstärkare med MM15 MM phonomodul installerat kunde monteras. It is even possible to control WiSA-compatible speakers wirelessly. “The Primare SC15 Mk2 is almost three times more expensive than the Stereo hub offered by System Audio, but brings benefits: better audio quality on all fronts, especially due to the better power supply used by Primare and the Prisma streaming platform with the Prisma app that has Qobuz and Tidal built in… For most households, an active speaker is preferable, even if they often do not know it. It is the least “hassle” and the best audio quality you can get for your money, especially with options like Room EQ. Put it carefully in the optimal spot in your room, adjust it once (or have it adjusted) with Room EQ and you are done. Combined with the Primare SC15 MK2, the entire system of Primare and System Audio speakers is very stable. During the review period of several weeks, the WiSa connection did not give a single problem and Primare’s Prisma platform delivers reliably.”

“CONCLUSION – The term ‘smart’ is often used for devices with a lot of functionality, especially in the field of smart home and streaming. The SC15 MK2 Prisma also deserves the label ‘smart’, but mainly because Primare has thought very carefully about which functions to offer. A good balance has been achieved, because many inputs, the right software and the WiSA module make the SC15 MK2 extremely versatile. The great thing about this is that you don’t end up with something complex, ease of use was clearly a priority. Add a handsome design and you are talking about a preamplifier-streamer-DAC that is very different from Asian alternatives. Less geeky and with a focus on sound. The most important thing is of course the sound quality. The new DAC implementation at the heart of the MK2 update delivers a very successful result in this regard.”
